K Technology Corp. | Electronics R&D for Automotive, Medical, Communications
As a company involved in the manufacturing of electronic devices, K Technology Corporation recognizes its responsibility to realize a sustainable, circular society as early as possible. We actively address environmental issues, including reducing CO₂ emissions to prevent global warming and contribute to building a low-carbon society.
Through the development and design of environmentally friendly products and environmentally conscious manufacturing practices, we strive to harmonize with our customers, society, and the environment, aiming to earn trust from local communities and society. Furthermore, we value the benefits of biodiversity and, beyond our own corporate activities, engage in conservation and sustainable use initiatives in collaboration with local governments and through regional contribution activities.
[Environmentally Conscious Product & Technology Development]
To contribute to a sustainable society with low environmental impact (low-carbon, circular), we assess the environmental impact of our products from the design and development stage. We actively implement energy-saving designs, select energy-efficient components, consider replacements, adopt energy-saving structures, and optimize packaging design, promoting energy efficiency from multiple perspectives.
Our facilities are designated as Class I Energy Management factories. We appoint energy management supervisors and energy planning officers to promote energy-saving initiatives. Key activities include reviewing air conditioning system operating conditions, optimizing control through central monitoring systems, efficient production area layout, stopping equipment and turning off lights during non-operating hours, and regular inspections for air leaks, continuously working to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
Our main 3R initiatives include:
Further separating general waste (paper, plastic) to improve recycling rates
Enhancing material recycling quality through finer separation from thermal recycling
Disassembling discarded electronic devices, separating printed circuit boards, metal parts, plastics, etc., for value-added transactions
[Reducing Environmentally Hazardous Chemicals & Compliance with Regulations]
In response to increasing global environmental awareness, regulations such as the EU RoHS Directive and REACH, as well as customer environmental procurement guidelines, are now established. We strictly verify that procured parts and materials do not contain specified chemical substances, actively reducing environmentally hazardous chemicals and ensuring legal compliance.
Chemical substance survey results are stored and managed in a database, enabling us to assess the compliance of purchased materials with various directives, regulations, and customer procurement guidelines. This information is also used to respond to customer environmental inquiries.
We support the United Nations’ “Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” and promotes initiatives as a company contributing to a sustainable society. While fulfilling our social responsibilities as a manufacturer, we act across multiple areas, including environmental protection, coexistence with local communities, and creating rewarding workplaces.
